28 Days of Sunshine

I love a prompt.  I'm a little addicted to collecting prompts.  I have a spreadsheet with literally thousands of prompts, in case I ever run out of ideas for things to draw - which is highly unlikely anyway.

Naturally that love of prompts means I love monthly art challenges.  I have a spreadsheet with a list of monthly art challenges too.  Are you surprised?

In February my friend Adele from Dellie's Designs ran a prompt challenge, and I had to partake.

I've long-since given up on the obsession with completing monthly challenges.  My completionist brain wants me to, but then I end up still doing October's challenges in January and I get frustrated & angry with myself.  So I've managed to wean myself off that particular completionist habit.  I did do a bunch of these ones though.

I did the first one - Birdsong
And even though I don't like coffee, I did the second one - Coffee
That one even sparked a sticker set idea which has been added to my list of sticker set ideas.
Day 11 was Pizza - and because February 9th was National Pizza Day and February 10th was National Umbrella Day, I did a pizza umbrella.  (Both American National days, but I have a blog about all that coming soon.)
Day 12 was Yellow.  And I've been loving doing pattern doodles with a yellow highlighter fineliner.  I just love how it looks.
Day 16 was Polka Dot.  Naturally the first thing you think of is a hippo.  Right?
Day 20 was Candy Floss.
Day 25 was Daisy.
Because 2024 is a leap year, there was a Day 29.  Adele decided to let us draw what brings us sunshine.  Now, I don't actually like sunshine.  It's too bright, and too warm.  But something that I love is rainbows and doodles.
Thanks for the prompt list Adele!  I'm looking forward to next year.
